Amulets

These amulets, by Karen Lipsett-Kidd, are mixed media art pieces that combine prehistoric stone tools, ice age fossils and teeth, feathers, gem beads, ancient pottery shards and sometimes even mastodon hair.

They can be used as protective talismans or for personal power, as objects to hold the intention for healing, well being or fertility. Amulets have been used since the dawn of man. These ones are contemporary but serve the same purposes as the ones created thousands of years ago.
