All of our amber comes from Chiapas Mexico. Our good friend and colleague Glen Osborne has entrusted us with some of his most spectacular specimens and we have been avid collectors since 1989. Chiapas amber is known for its unique color change properties. We have pieces with fossil inclusions as well. Chiapas amber is between 22 million and 26 million years old. It is the fossilized resin which came from the Hymenaea Leguminoseae tree. Most of these pieces came from an area in the Chiapas highlands near the town of Simojovel. This amber is know for its clarity and color.
